IK Multimedia has released the TONEX 2.0 Player Public Beta, bringing a major redesign to the TONEX software experience.
This isn’t simply a visual update. TONEX 2.0 introduces a completely redesigned interface and workflow, making it faster and easier to browse, organize and use your Tone Models and presets.
A Completely New Interface
One of the biggest changes in TONEX 2.0 is the new immersive interface.
Your gear is now presented on a single main “stage”, with a horizontal signal chain that gives you a much clearer view of your complete rig.
Navigation has also been redesigned around Context Menus, Smart Search and dedicated Gear Browsers for amps, stomps, cabinets and presets.
New Home Page and Improved Library Management
TONEX 2.0 introduces a new Home Page, designed as the central hub for your favorite gear, recent activity, collections and presets.
Library management has also been improved, with easier access to:
- Favorites
- Recently Used
- Downloads
- User Folders
- Collections
The Collection Browser has also been redesigned to make navigating larger TONEX libraries much easier.
Deeper ToneNET Integration
ToneNET is now integrated more deeply into the TONEX browsing experience.
You can discover and download Tone Models directly while browsing, as well as organize and publish your own Tone Models and presets with fewer interruptions to your workflow.
New 2.0 Factory Library
TONEX 2.0 also introduces a new 2.0 Factory Library featuring 200 new v2 Tone Models, covering everything from vintage classics and boutique amplifiers to modern high-gain tones for guitar and bass.
The complete Factory Library is included with TONEX MAX.
TONEX 2.0 Public Beta
TONEX 2.0 is currently available as a Public Beta for existing TONEX users.
One important point: installing TONEX 2.0 Player will overwrite the existing TONEX 1.x installation. IK Multimedia therefore recommends backing up your existing TONEX library before installing the beta.
The beta is downloaded manually through the IK Multimedia User Area rather than through IK Product Manager.
