BOSS GX-1: Hidden Features, Footswitch Tricks & Great Tones

The BOSS GX-1 is a compact unit, but there’s a lot more inside than it may seem at first.

In this video, I take a closer look at some useful hidden features, footswitch tricks, and practical tone ideas that can help you get more out of the GX-1 — whether you’re using it at home, for recording, or as part of a live setup.

The GX-1 may look simple, but with the right setup it can be surprisingly flexible. Small details like footswitch assignments, control options, and smart preset organization can make a big difference when switching between clean, crunch, lead, and ambient sounds.

In the demo, I also explore some great guitar tones and show how the GX-1 can cover a wide range of sounds without overcomplicating things.
